About me

My approach is an integrative therapeutic model and combines elements of Psychodynamic, CBT, Humanistic, Somatic therapies, Attachment, Transactional Analysis and Mindfulness based approaches. This allows me to adapt to each of your needs and help support you to face and overcome your challenges.

Hello, I'm Lisa

I am an Integrative psychotherapeutic counsellor and accredited with UKCP (UK Council for Psychotherapy) and a registered member with BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy). I abide by their ethical and good practice guidelines including regular supervision of my practice and I am fully insured.

Being a counsellor is a privilege because it is allows me to bear witness to your story and life experiences and I have a deep respect for your journey. The therapeutic relationship is the agent which facilitates the process of change and lies at the heart of my practice. I value the richness of individual difference, otherness and uniqueness of experience, bringing warmth, creativity and compassion to my work.

I hope to empower you to overcome your personal challenges, discover your strengths, resources and unique potential. I cannot know what it feels like to be you but I aim to walk beside you and offer a space for you to explore, express and discover who you are and where you want to go.

My experience spans across a range of different contexts and settings:

I have worked as a play therapist in primary school settings for a leading charity and delivered workplace training on mental health issues. I have also worked within community counselling services such as YMCA Cambridgeshire and One to One project in Kings Lynn, supporting both adults and young people experiencing a wide range of difficulties. I currently work in private practice and also with Lincolnshire Police and various emergency services.

My diverse background also includes working in various fields such as project management, arts education, West End theatre, film and television, and the visual arts industry.

In my spare time, I enjoy walking with my two Labrador Retrievers; Inca and Digger.
